- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning

- 1 lb smoked sausage or Italian sausage, sliced into bite-sized pieces
- 12 oz pasta (fettuccine, penne, or your favorite)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 ½ cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook for about 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pieces are browned on both sides. Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the 3 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, until fragrant. Return the sausage to the skillet, tossing to coat it in the garlic butter. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley.
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add your choice of pasta and cook according to package instructions, usually around 8-10 minutes, until al dente. Drain the pasta, reserving about ½ cup of the pasta water, and set aside.
- In a large saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the heavy cream and garlic powder, stirring constantly for about 2 minutes until the mixture is heated through. Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese, continuing to stir until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Toss the cooked pasta in the creamy Parmesan sauce until fully coated. If the sauce is too thick, add a bit of the reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
- To plate, serve the garlic butter sausage bites over the creamy Parmesan pasta. Garnish with extra Parmesan cheese and a sprinkle of fresh parsley.
