Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into strips
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil (about 1 tablespoon of salt).
- Add the fettuccine pasta to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions (8-10 minutes) until al dente. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
- Drain the pasta in a colander and set aside. Toss with a little olive oil to prevent sticking.
- In a bowl, combine the sirloin steak strips with Cajun seasoning, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Let it sit for about 10 minutes.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the seasoned steak strips in a single layer. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Simmer for 2-3 minutes to thicken slightly.
- Gradually add chicken broth, stirring continuously. Simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
- Whisk in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Adjust consistency with more chicken broth if needed.
- Add black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes (if using). Taste and adjust seasoning.
- Add the cooked steak back into the skillet with the Alfredo sauce, stirring to coat.
- Gently fold in the cooked fettuccine, ensuring every strand is coated.
- Allow to heat through for 2-3 minutes on low heat.
- Serve in a large bowl or individual plates.
- Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the top.
- Serve immediately while hot and creamy, paired with a side salad or garlic bread.
Notes
- For extra heat, feel free to increase the amount of red pepper flakes.
