Enjoy a deliciously creamy Cajun Steak Fettuccine featuring tender sirloin strips seasoned with zesty Cajun spices, tossed with fettuccine pasta in a rich Alfredo sauce. This comforting dish is perfect for a satisfying dinner!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into strips
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil (about 1 tablespoon of salt).
  2. Add the fettuccine pasta to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions (8-10 minutes) until al dente. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  3. Drain the pasta in a colander and set aside. Toss with a little olive oil to prevent sticking.
  4. In a bowl, combine the sirloin steak strips with Cajun seasoning, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Let it sit for about 10 minutes.
  5. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  6. Add the seasoned steak strips in a single layer. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  7. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  8. Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Simmer for 2-3 minutes to thicken slightly.
  9. Gradually add chicken broth, stirring continuously. Simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
  10. Whisk in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Adjust consistency with more chicken broth if needed.
  11. Add black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes (if using). Taste and adjust seasoning.
  12. Add the cooked steak back into the skillet with the Alfredo sauce, stirring to coat.
  13. Gently fold in the cooked fettuccine, ensuring every strand is coated.
  14. Allow to heat through for 2-3 minutes on low heat.
  15. Serve in a large bowl or individual plates.
  16. Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the top.
  17. Serve immediately while hot and creamy, paired with a side salad or garlic bread.

Notes

  • For extra heat, feel free to increase the amount of red pepper flakes.
  • This dish can be made ahead of time; just reheat gently on the stove before serving.
  • Pair with a crisp white wine for a delightful dining experience.
