Ingredients
– 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
– 8 slices of bacon
– 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
– 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
– 1 tablespoon soy sauce
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
– 1 tablespoon olive oil (for searing)
– Fresh chopped parsley (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper. Set aside.
3. Wrap each chicken breast with 2 slices of bacon. Secure with toothpicks if needed.
4. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the bacon-wrapped chicken for 2–3 minutes per side until browned.
5. Pour the maple glaze over the chicken in the skillet.
6. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
7. Spoon the glaze over the chicken before serving and garnish with fresh parsley.
8. Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
– For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in half of the maple glaze for 30 minutes before cooking.
– Use thick-cut bacon for a heartier bite.
– Double the glaze if you like extra sauce for drizzling over mashed potatoes or rice.
– Leftovers keep well in the fridge for up to 3 days.
