Ingredients
-
1 lb ground chicken
-
2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)
-
2 tbsp olive oil (divided)
-
3 cloves garlic, minced
-
1/3 cup honey
-
3 tbsp sriracha sauce
-
2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
-
1 tbsp rice vinegar
-
1 tsp sesame oil (optional)
-
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
-
Salt and black pepper, to taste
-
Sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish
Instructions
-
In a small bowl, whisk together honey, sriracha, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Set aside.
-
Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add broccoli and sauté for 3–4 minutes until just tender. Remove and set aside.
-
Add remaining olive oil to the skillet. Add ground chicken, season with salt and pepper, and cook, breaking apart, until browned (about 5–6 minutes).
-
Stir in minced garlic and cook another 30 seconds until fragrant.
-
Pour in the sauce and stir to coat the chicken. Let simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
-
Return broccoli to the skillet, tossing everything together to coat well.
-
Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving!
Notes
-
Adjust the sriracha for more or less heat — it’s easy to make it mild or extra spicy!
-
Frozen broccoli works great — just thaw and pat dry first.
-
Double the sauce if you like it extra sticky and saucy!
-
This reheats beautifully for meal prep and tastes even better the next day.
-
Serve over jasmine rice, cauliflower rice, or rice noodles for a full meal.
