Ingredients
-
1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
-
2 tbsp olive oil
-
Salt and black pepper, to taste
-
2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
-
1½ tbsp honey
-
Optional: 1 garlic clove, minced
-
Optional garnish: red pepper flakes, parmesan, flaky sea salt, or toasted nuts
Instructions
-
Prep the Oven: Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
Season the Sprouts: In a bowl, toss Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread cut-side down on the baking sheet.
-
Roast: Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy on the edges.
-
Make the Glaze: While the sprouts roast, combine balsamic vinegar, honey, and garlic (if using) in a small saucepan. Simmer over medium-low heat for 4–5 minutes until slightly thickened.
-
Glaze & Serve: Transfer hot roasted sprouts to a mixing bowl. Drizzle with the honey balsamic glaze and toss to coat. Garnish and serve immediately!
Notes
-
For extra crispiness, don’t overcrowd the pan—use two sheets if needed.
-
You can prep the glaze up to 3 days in advance and refrigerate until needed.
-
Swap honey with maple syrup for a vegan-friendly version.
-
Delicious served warm, but also great at room temp for potlucks!
