Ingredients
For the Rolls:
– 1 package (12-count) Hawaiian sweet rolls
– 4 oz cream cheese, softened
– 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
– 1/3 cup brown sugar
– 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
For the Frosting:
– 4 oz cream cheese, softened
– 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
– 1 cup powdered sugar
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1–2 tablespoons milk (to thin, if needed)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
2. Slice Hawaiian rolls horizontally, keeping them connected as one slab.
3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until smooth.
4. Spread the cinnamon cream cheese mixture evenly over the bottom half of the rolls.
5. Place the top half of the rolls back on.
6. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until warm and lightly golden.
7. Meanwhile, make the frosting by beating cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until creamy.
8. Once rolls are baked, spread the frosting generously over the top.
9. Serve warm and enjoy the tropical cinnamon goodness!
