- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- Flour, for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Lightly dust your countertop or a large cutting board with flour.
- Cut the pizza dough into 12 equal pieces.
- Roll each piece into a long rope (8-10 inches) and tie it into a knot. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- In a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl, melt the unsalted butter.
- Stir in minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) into the melted butter.
- Generously brush the garlic butter mixture over each knot.
- Optionally sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the knots.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed up.
- Let the knots cool for a few minutes.
- Brush with any remaining garlic butter mixture for extra flavor.
- Optionally sprinkle with leftover parsley for freshness.
