  • Yield: 4 servings

Description

These Garlic Herb Parmesan Knots are warm, fluffy, and bursting with flavor, making them the perfect addition to any meal or appetizer spread. Easy to make and irresistibly delicious, they will quickly become a favorite in your kitchen.

Ingredients

  • Pizza Dough
  • Fresh Garlic
  • Fresh Parsley
  • Fresh Basil
  • Parmesan Cheese
  • Unsalted Butter
  • Garlic Powder (optional substitute for fresh garlic)
  • Dried Herbs (optional substitute for fresh herbs)
  • Pecorino Romano (optional substitute for Parmesan cheese)
  • Nutritional Yeast (optional vegan substitute for Parmesan cheese)
  • Plant-based Butter or Olive Oil (optional dairy-free substitute for butter)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. If you're using store-bought pizza dough, roll it out on a lightly floured surface to about ½ inch thick. If you've made your dough from scratch, let it rest for about 15 minutes before rolling.
  3. Cut the rolled dough into strips, about 1 inch wide and 6 inches long.
  4. Take each strip and tie it into a knot. Tuck the ends underneath to create a neat shape. Place each knot on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. In a small saucepan, melt ½ cup of unsalted butter over low heat. Add 4 minced garlic cloves, 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley, and 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh basil, stirring until fragrant (about 1-2 minutes). Remove from heat and stir in ½ cup of grated Parmesan cheese.
  6. Generously brush the garlic herb butter mixture over each knot.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the knots are golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Once out of the oven, sprinkle the knots with a little extra grated Parmesan and some more fresh herbs if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
