Ingredients
- Cranberry Juice

- Make Your Spiced Syrup (Optional, but Recommended): In a small saucepan, combine half a cup of water with half a cup of your chosen sweetener, one cinnamon stick, two star anise pods, and 4-5 whole cloves. Bring to a gentle simmer, stirring until the sweetener dissolves. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes, then remove from heat and let it steep for at least 15-20 minutes. Strain out the whole spices and let the syrup cool completely.
- Combine Ingredients in a Shaker: Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add 3 ounces of cranberry juice, 1.5 ounces of fresh lime juice, 1 ounce of orange juice (or non-alcoholic orange liqueur alternative), and 0.5-1 ounce of your cooled spiced syrup. If using a non-alcoholic tequila alternative, add 2 ounces now.
- Shake It Up: Secure the lid on your shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until the outside of the shaker is frosty cold.
- Strain and Serve: Strain the mixture from the shaker into your prepared, sugar-rimmed glass, being careful not to disturb the rim too much.
- Final Garnish: Float a few fresh cranberries in the drink, tuck in a fresh sprig of rosemary, and add a whole cinnamon stick. Serve immediately.
