Description
This Philly Cheesesteak Flatbread Pizza combines the savory goodness of classic cheesesteaks with the convenience of flatbread. It’s a quick and easy dish that’s perfect for any occasion!
Ingredients
- Flatbread (store-bought naan or pita)
- Ribeye steak (or flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced)
- Sweet onions (sliced)
- Bell peppers (sliced, any color)
- Provolone cheese (or a combination of mozzarella and cheddar)
- Salt
- Pepper
- Garlic powder
- Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- Olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, add a drizzle of olive oil. Once hot, add the thinly sliced steak. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the steak is browned but still tender. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add a bit more olive oil if needed, then toss in the sliced onions and bell peppers. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are soft and caramelized.
- On a baking sheet, place your flatbread. Layer it with a generous amount of the sautéed onions and peppers, followed by the cooked steak. Finally, sprinkle the cheese evenly over the top.
- Slide the baking sheet into the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Once done, remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a minute. Slice it into pieces and serve hot!
