Description

Experience the vibrant and flavorful Dragon Chicken, a dish that perfectly balances heat and sweetness. This quick and easy recipe is sure to impress your family and friends with its bold flavors and colorful presentation.

Ingredients

  • Boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
  • Soy sauce
  • Chili sauce
  • Sesame oil
  • Sugar
  • Bell peppers
  • Onions
  • Carrots
  • Fresh garlic
  • Fresh ginger
  • Oil for cooking
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Start by cutting the chicken into bite-sized pieces. Season with salt and pepper. If you have time, marinate the chicken in a mixture of soy sauce, garlic, and ginger for about 30 minutes to enhance the flavor.
  2. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, chili sauce, sesame oil, and a little sugar for balance. Mix well and set aside.
  3. Heat a tablespoon of oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces and stir-fry until they are golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, add a bit more oil if needed. Toss in your chopped vegetables—bell peppers, onions, and carrots—and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until they are slightly tender but still crisp.
  5. Add minced garlic and ginger to the pan. Stir-fry for another minute until fragrant.
  6. Return the chicken to the pan, pour in the dragon sauce, and toss everything together. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and coat the chicken and vegetables.
  7. Once everything is well combined and heated through, remove from heat. Serve the Dragon Chicken hot over steamed rice or noodles.

Keywords: Don't skip marinating the chicken for enhanced flavor. Adjust the spiciness to your preference by adding more chili sauce or reducing it for a milder dish. Feel free to use any vegetables you love or have on hand, and consider garnishing with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
