Description
These Crispy Teriyaki Salmon Bites are a delightful twist on traditional teriyaki, offering a perfect balance of sweet and savory. With a crispy exterior and tender salmon inside, they are sure to impress at any gathering.
Ingredients
- Fresh salmon fillets
- Store-bought teriyaki sauce or homemade (soy sauce, honey or brown sugar, garlic, ginger)
- Panko breadcrumbs
- Egg
- Green onions
Instructions
- Begin by cutting the salmon fillets into bite-sized pieces, about 1-inch cubes.
- In a bowl, combine the salmon pieces with 1/4 cup of teriyaki sauce, tossing to coat. Allow the salmon to marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- In one bowl, beat an egg. In another bowl, place the panko breadcrumbs.
- Take each marinated salmon piece, dip it into the egg, and then coat it thoroughly with the panko breadcrumbs.
- Heat a generous amount of oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the salmon bites in a single layer. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
- Once cooked, transfer the salmon bites to a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil. Drizzle with additional teriyaki sauce, sprinkle with chopped green onions, and serve warm.
