Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 8 ounces full-fat cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon fresh orange zest (optional)
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
  • Powdered sugar (for optional glaze)
  • 12 tablespoons milk or orange juice (for optional glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and optional orange zest. Beat until smooth and creamy.
  3. Unroll the crescent dough onto a clean surface and separate it into eight triangles.
  4. Spread about a tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture over the wider end of each triangle, leaving a small border around the edges.
  5. Sprinkle about a teaspoon of cranberries over the cream cheese filling on each triangle.
  6. Starting from the wide end, roll each triangle towards the narrow tip, tucking the filling inside.
  7. Place the rolled crescent bites on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each one.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
  9. For an optional glaze, whisk together powdered sugar with milk or orange juice until smooth. Drizzle over the bites after they cool for a few minutes.
