  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (pounded thin)

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (for dredging)

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 12 tablespoons fresh basil, finely chopped (or 2 teaspoons dried basil)

  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste


Instructions

  • Pound chicken evenly to 1/2-inch thickness if needed.

  • Season chicken with salt and pepper, then dredge lightly in flour.

  • Melt butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Cook chicken 4–5 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer to a plate and keep warm.

  • Add garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds, just until fragrant.

  • Pour in cream and chicken broth, whisking to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer.

  • Stir in Parmesan cheese and basil, seasoning the sauce with additional salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.

  • Return chicken to skillet, spooning sauce over the top. Simmer another 2–3 minutes to reheat.

 

  • Serve hot, garnished with extra basil!
