- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup cooked ham, diced
- 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 package (1 lb) pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Slice the chicken breasts into thin strips, about 1/2 inch thick.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced chicken and season with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5-7 minutes until no longer pink and golden brown. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, diced ham, Swiss cheese, and mozzarella cheese. Mix until well combined. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
- If using store-bought pizza dough, let it sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes. If making your own, roll it out on a floured surface to about 12×16 inches.
- Transfer the rolled dough to a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Spread the chicken and cheese filling evenly over the dough, leaving about an inch of space around the edges.
- Roll the dough tightly from one of the long edges, tucking in the edges to seal the filling inside. Pinch the seam to seal and tuck the ends under.
- Place the rolled Stromboli seam-side down on the baking sheet. Brush the top with the beaten egg.
- Make a few diagonal slits on top of the Stromboli to allow steam to escape.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
- Slice into thick pieces, about 1-2 inches wide, and arrange on a serving platter. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley if desired.
