Enjoy these Cheesy Garlic Butter Roll-Ups made with flaky crescent dough, gooey mozzarella, and a savory garlic butter blend. Perfect as an appetizer or snack, they feature a golden crust and a delicious cheesy filling that will impress your guests!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (or a mix of oregano, basil, and thyme)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Open the can of crescent roll dough and unroll it onto a clean, flat surface. Pinch the seams together to create one large rectangle.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, dried Italian herbs, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  4. Set aside a couple of tablespoons of this mixture for brushing on top of the roll-ups later.
  5. Brush the entire surface of the crescent roll dough with the garlic butter mixture.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Then, sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese on top.
  7. Starting from one end, roll the dough up tightly into a log and pinch the edges to seal.
  8. Slice the log into 1-inch pieces, yielding about 8-10 roll-ups.
  9. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  10. Place the roll-ups on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each piece.
  11. Brush the tops of the roll-ups with the reserved garlic butter mixture.
  12. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
  13. Let the roll-ups cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet.
  14. Chop fresh parsley for garnish.
  15. Transfer the roll-ups to a serving platter and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
  16. Serve warm with marinara sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding cooked spinach or herbs to the cheese filling.
  • These roll-ups can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
