Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (or a mix of oregano, basil, and thyme)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Open the can of crescent roll dough and unroll it onto a clean, flat surface. Pinch the seams together to create one large rectangle.
- In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, dried Italian herbs, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Set aside a couple of tablespoons of this mixture for brushing on top of the roll-ups later.
- Brush the entire surface of the crescent roll dough with the garlic butter mixture.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Then, sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese on top.
- Starting from one end, roll the dough up tightly into a log and pinch the edges to seal.
- Slice the log into 1-inch pieces, yielding about 8-10 roll-ups.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Place the roll-ups on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each piece.
- Brush the tops of the roll-ups with the reserved garlic butter mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
- Let the roll-ups cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet.
- Chop fresh parsley for garnish.
- Transfer the roll-ups to a serving platter and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
- Serve warm with marinara sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For extra flavor, consider adding cooked spinach or herbs to the cheese filling.
