  • Author: lila
  • Total Time: 1 hour 15 minutes
  • Yield: 1 loaf 1x

Description

This Biscoff Swirl Banana Bread combines the comforting flavors of traditional banana bread with the rich, caramelized taste of Biscoff spread. Each slice offers a delightful marbled effect that is both a treat for the taste buds and a feast for the eyes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup Biscoff spread
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with butter or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth, leaving some chunks if desired.
  4. Add melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract to the bananas and mix until well combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and a pinch of salt. Gradually add this to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in half of the Biscoff spread into the batter.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Drop spoonfuls of the remaining Biscoff spread on top and use a knife to create swirls through the batter.
  8. Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Once baked, remove the banana bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then, transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Keywords: Use overripe bananas for the best sweetness and moisture. Don't over-mix to avoid a dense loaf. Feel free to add chocolate chips, nuts, or shredded coconut for added flavor and texture.
